  • Description

With a view to the premiere of Fugu II we cordially welcome the Austrian composer Johannes Maria Staud to the publishing house for the first time! The title of the work has nothing to do with the great musical “fugue” genre. It deals instead with that infamous Japanese pufferfish, to be prepared, because of its high toxicity, only under the most stringent safety precautions in speciality restaurants. The premiering Mozart Kinderorchester (children’s orchestra) will be poisoned at the most only to the extent that with Fugu II the contemporary-music stinger has penetrated somewhat deeper into the usual repertoire.
