Tyrolean State Prize for Art 2025 Awarded to Johannes Maria Staud

Composer Johannes Maria Staud has been awarded the Tyrolean State Prize for Art 2025. The State of Tyrol is honoring him for his outstanding artistic achievements and his international standing as a leading figure in contemporary music. The award, which includes a prize of €14,000, will be presented on September 23, 2025, during the Festival of Culture at the House of Music in Innsbruck.

Award for his Lifetime Achievement

Helmut Lachenmann received the “Prix Président de la République Française” (Prize of the President of the French Republic) for his lifetime achievement. The ceremony, organized by the Académie Charles Cros, took place on 2 February 2025 at the New Cultural Center in Meudon.
