Sigfrid Karg-Elerts works are attracting more attention than ever before.

"Cathedral Windows" op. 106 and "Triptych" op. 141, works from the composers late creative phase are now available in new editions. The titles themselves awaken associations with Karg-Elerts extremely colorful musical language, which oscillates between diatonic "white-note" music and proliferating chromaticism in "Cathedral Windows." The (sound) windows of Debussys famous "Cathédrale engloutie" must have been similar to those in Karg-Elerts church.
