Description

Volume 3 further refines rhythmic studies with irregularities like triplets and time signature changes; harmony theory covers cadences in major and minor keys as well as the simple harmonization of melodies. Finally, Beat, Blues, and Swing provide the necessary musical variety. Throughout, the author remains committed to the core principle: aural training and the development of the inner ear remain the foundation of the course. Compared to Volumes 1 and 2, the expansion of audio examples is significantly smaller. This is because anyone who has worked through the first two books will be capable of interpreting the notation on their own by singing or playing it.
