Robert Schumann's Concert Movement in D minor was first performed in 1988 by the Belgian Pianist Jozef De Beenhouwerand the Wiener Symphoniker under the direction of Peter Gülke.

Almost fully completed in 1839, this work represents an important preliminary version of the well-known A-minor Piano Concerto. Jozef De Beenhouwer completed the missing measures with a sure Sense of style and added a cadenza. We have placed this first edition under the competent care of Joachim Draheim.
