Territorio interior I (Trio Nr. V) can be found here.
Space and perception go together in this piece, evolving as in a sound cartography. The sound energy expands and gradually conquers the space in front of the listener, always at the limit of hearing. I would speak here of an "eroticism of space": Our contemporary society often imposes a fundamentally frontal, one-dimensional perspective on music. Therefore, I try to integrate categories such as atmosphere, relief, perspective and soundscape into the realm of chamber music in a stylized way. The piece traverses three different spatial contexts in three sections, performed without interruption.
The first part of this composition - entitled Territorio interior (I) (Trio V) - can be performed independently. It was commissioned by the Boulanger Trio and was premiered in Berlin on September, 7th 2014.
The first version of this piece was composed as a commission of E-MEX Ensemble and Siemens Foundation, and premiered on March, 15th 2015 in Dortmund (E-MEX Ensmeble and conductor X. Wagner).
The revised and final version of Territorio interior (2022) was premiered in Barcelona (Festival MIXTUR) by Schallfeld Ensemble conducted by Leonhard Garms.
