Sibelius: Finlandia Op. 26

The tone poem Finlandia op. 26 was written in fall 1899 as the closing piece of the “Music for the Press Celebrations.” Finlandia was given its first performance in its final form in Helsinki on 2 July 1900.

Herbert Austin Fricker’s arrangement for organ (EB 2322) was published by Breitkopf & Härtel in September 1907.
