The designation "suite" should not lead anyone astray: the drama "King Christian II" is a bloodthirsty story of Shakespearean dimensions which forms the basis of a densely wrought, highly expressive orchestral score it is one of Sibelius' many works that remain to be discovered in a number of countries throughout the world.
