The Forum Aktiver Musikalienhändler (FAM – Forum of Active Music Dealers) presented its FAMos Award to Breitkopf & Härtel this summer.

Over the previous years, the publisher had been handled as a prospective candidate. Through its choice, the Forum honors "the long and excellent collaboration between the publisher and the dealers, the prompt and reliable order processing, the generous handling of problematic cases and the unequivocal importance attributed to an active music-dealer partnership." The "famous" award was handed by FAM member Helge Petroll to Annekathrin Mascus (head of Breitkopf Sales) in August. It was no coincidence that the ceremony took place where all this excellent service comes from: at the distribution warehouse in Taunusstein. FAM and the publisher do not consider the award solely as an honor, but also as an inspiration: in September both partners got together for a concerted action aimed to present Breitkopf's pedagogical collection – which has been cultivated with great success over the past years – in a varied manner.
