Born in Westerland on the North-Sea island of Sylt in 1963, Jürgen Borstelmann studied at the Musikhochschule in Lübeck (church music and artistic organ playing) and has been a church musician on his native island since 1981. As a composer, he has been awarded a number of prizes and has had works printed by various publishing houses.
